Using DVS and Heat Pump together
Greetings,
I have a DVS and heat pump in my home and these cold nights I am sure my DVS is putting cold air back into rooms (testing the outlet with my hand). I read somewhere that some DVS systems work against heat pumps. Is this true or have I read wrong, because there is definitely cold air at roof level in my lounge most nights even when my pump is working to 25degrees. We are warm but I cant work out if the two systems work together…. or not. I’d be really grateful for any feedback about this.

Hi there - I have a similar set up in my home.
If you have a standard DVS with no heater, and no heat recovery mode the cooler air coming in from your roof space, will fight against the heat coming from your Heat Pump and you will feel draughts.
I find its easier just to turn the ventilation system OFF in the evening, let your heat source heat your home whilst you are sitting watching telly or whatever, and flick it back on before you go to bed to rid the house of condensation whilst you are sleeping.
I am turning mine off around 6pm, and on again at 11pm and still don’t have any issues with condensation unelss it is really really cold and even then, it’s only a little.
Hope this helps you!
